Beta Gamma DC Chapter President
Madam President SanctiPHIed
You all know me as Madam President Sanctified, but I was born Jessica Coates in Columbia, SC on September 30, 1984to Michelle and Joshua Solomon. I am one of the oldest of my ten siblings, a mother to one son, and wife to my high school sweet heart. I was educated in DMV once leaving Columbia, SC in 1990 and earned my associates degree at Bowie State University, then, earned a certificate in cosmetology.
Currently, I am the intake coordinator at Preventive Measures SE WDC. I service the most vulnerable populations in Washington D.C. with a goal of meeting them where they are to aide them in gaining and maintaining mental health and stability as they navigate life's challenges. In addition I followed my passion which led to entrepreneurship as I started many small businesses. As each hold a special place in my heart, I am most fond of Creative Creations where you can everything from bath robes to custom made memorabilia.
Of the many accomplishments that I have made, I am honored to have accepted the call to be a Gamma Phi Lambda woman. I first noticed the woman of Gamma Phi Lambda as there acts of services spread fin the communities around me. I took the time to evaluate where I extend my services to keep this force that is Gamma Phi Lambda going and met the challenge. Today, more than ever, I believe in the sisterhood and the service that we dedicate to the communities more than ever. It is my vision to continue to grow within Gamma Land as I lead others through with love and passion.
Alpha Gamma MD Chapter President
Madam President Delightful
My name is Renee Ford, I joined Gamma Phi Lambda because I’ve always wanted to be in a sorority. I saw how Madam Share My World conducted the MD chapter of another organizaton and loved her leadership. But I could see how her hands were tied. When it was announced that she and many others were leaving that organization, I knew it was time for me to go as well. She told me to “stay tuned, something great is coming!” And that’s what I did!!
When the application process opened for GPL I knew this was where I wanted to be! I knew I could be included in something great! Something that I can help to build up, a sisterhood with women that look like me, around the same age as me, have lived life of good bad and ugly already! Women who’ve had life experience and now want to do something else in life, give to the community and create our own village!
Since the day I joined I have not made one regret. Sure there’s always room for improvement, but working together makes us great! And being in this sorority from the ground up gives me an advantage to see Gamma Phi Lambda BLOSSOM INTO GREATNESS!
